- No, you can't amend your application after you have submitted it. However, you can WITHDRAW it and re-submit a new one by the deadline 16 January 2012.
Admission may be granted to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Academic relevance: A relevant Bachelors or Masters degree (social science or humanity) with good marks from a recognised institution of higher education. Full detailed academic transcripts (grades) must be submitted.
- Language skills: A high level of spoken and written English: IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 650 (written paper test) / 280 (computer based test) / 100 (internet based test) is mandatory. Previous experience with English at any level is not sufficient documentation
- Motivation: Relevant work experience in the area of policy and management in governmental, inter-governmental, non-governmental organisations, private enterprises and institutions related to lifelong learning is valued
- Qualification essay: An academic qualification essay based on research literature on any aspect of lifelong learning.
- References: Two recommendation letters from former/current supervisors of which one must be academic referee.
Do I need to take any entrance examinations or eligibility tests?
If you meet all the entry requirements you will not have to take any additional entrance examinations or further eligibility tests. The Consortium, however, might interview shortlisted candidates via telephone if necessary.
Academic qualification essay should be between 2500-3000 words in length discussing/analysing a topic related to any aspect of lifelong learning, including references to relevant research literature.
The qualification essay must be your own written work. All sources (books, journals, websites etc.) referred to or from which you have used quotations or received a substantial amount of information relevant to your qualification essay must be listed in bibliography section at the end of your essay.
For applicants who wish to apply for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship:
Category A: January 16, 2012.
Category B: January 16, 2012.
For self-funded students: May 16, 2012.
Full degrees obtained in a country where English is the official language (e.g. UK, US, Australia, Nigeria, etc.) by applicants for whom English is not their official language (mother tongue) may be accepted in lieu of the approved IELTS/TOEFL score. However, such degrees should have been obtained in the recent past (i.e. within three years of the proposed date of admission to the European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management).
English as language of instruction in other context is not considered alternative evidence of English language proficiency.
If you are a non-native speaker and do not hold a full degree in English speaking country recently (see above), you will need to sit for an IELTS or a TOEFL test as proof of your English language proficiency. An IELTS or a TOEFL test is a compulsory and non-negotiable requirement for the MA LLL application.
You are thus required to submit an Academic IELTS test with an overall score of at least 7.0, with a minimum score of 6.5 for reading and of 6.0 for writing, or a TOEFL test with a score of 650 (280 in the computerised test; 100 in the internet-based test).
FINANCE RELATED ISSUES
- The tuition fee for third-country students for a full two year programme is €16,000
- The tuition fee for European students for a full two year programme amounts to a maximum of €8,000 due to a tuition waiver provided by the Consortium offering the European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management
- As higher education in Denmark is state funded, citizens from member states of the European Union or any EEA country will receive additional tuition waiver for semesters completed at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University

The Erasmus Mundus programme offers scholarships to students of exceptional quality to follow an Erasmus Mundus Masters Course or Joint Doctorate at two or more European universities, as well as scholarships to promote the mobility of students between European and non-European universities. To receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship, the student has to meet the conditions of the status of either a so-called "Category A student" or a "Category B student".
A 'Category A student' means a national of a third country other than those from EEA-EFTA States and candidate countries for accession to the European Union, who has already obtained a first higher education degree, who is not a resident of any of the Member States or the participating countries and who has not carried out his or her main activity (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the Member States or the participating country.
A 'Category B student' is any student who do not fulfill the criteria for a Category A student i.e. nationality requirement and 12 months rule.

The European Commission offers Erasmus Mundus Category B scholarships for European students.
(Category B scholarships can be awarded to any student who do not fulfill the criteria for a Category A scholarship i.e. nationality requirement and 12 months rule.

No, the Erasmus Mundus scholarships are intended for full-time studies only.
Every year the course/programme begins in September in Copenhagen. However, mandatory Introduction Weeks take place the final two weeks of August.
The course may start in October at the Institute of Education (IoE), London. There is usually no induction week before the start date.
The first batch of European Masters in Lifelong Learning: Policy and Management under Erasmus Mundus label began in August 2006 and we are currently admitting the 7th batch of students who will start in September 2012.
A double degree (two institutions) or a multiple degree (more than two institutions) depending on mobility track will be issued on successful completion of the programme.
On completion of this programme you will receive double or multiple degrees, depending on the mobility path, leading to:
